Get ready for the Hillsboro Village Art Walk on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm! Enjoy receptions, shows, music, artists, demonstrations, book signings and events hosted in most of the shops and restaurants throughout Hillsboro Village. December’s Artwalk will feature a lot of holiday festivities, including a visit by Santa and his elves.

Happenings and Participating Merchants
- There will be a village-wide raffle basket giveaway! You can enter to win at all participating merchants.
- Santa and his elves will be collecting toys for The Centerstone Children’s Service’s kids in exchange for photos from 6pm until 8pm. Don’t miss Santa’s convertible arrival at 6pm!
- EXile International, a non-profit based out of Nashville, will be in front of Pancake Pantry selling beaded jewelry made from recycled magazine paper.
- Boy Scout Troop 17 will be sponsoring a Christmas tree pre-sale for 10-12-feet North Carolina-grown Fraser fir trees, which it will deliver, set-up, and then dispose of.
- Belmont United Methodist Church will perform festive carols on the Village corners.
- The Nashville’s World AIDS Day Event will be taking place at Ingram Hall starting at 6:30pm, providing important health promotion and HIV prevention information as well as the stories of those affected by HIV and AIDS in Nashville and across the globe.
- Hillsboro Village Auto Service will feature the Lane Motor Museum.
- Craftville will be at Clothing Xchange helping everyone make Holiday crafts to take home.
- Sweet CeCe’s will have $3 worth of free yogurt for children under the age of 10 between 5pm and 9pm.
- See Eyeware will have artist Xavier Paths. Enjoy complimentary wine and holiday cookies. During the Artwalk, get $40 off one pair and a total of $100 off two pair.
- Boscos Brewery will have artist Laura McWhorter, who specializes in one-of-a-kind scarves, bags, and clothing.
- Provence will feature artist Ann Tiley and musicians Derek Pell and the Gypsy Cowboys. Enjoy Christmas dessert samplings and Q&A with chef Joshua Pion.
- Fire Finch will have artists Julia and Cheryl Hume, a mother-daughter duo specializing in handmade, one-of-a-kind accessories.
- Jackson’s will feature artists Paul Wilm of Birmingham, who paints social-commentary scenes on rustic wood. Take advantage of half-price glasses of wine and $5 peppermint martinis.
- A Village of Flowers will have artist Liz Thielemann, who specializes in ink and watercolor on paper. Also enjoy energy healing from Georgia Makes and tasty food samples from Youlanda Peña.
- Fido will feature Jim McGuire and Lindsay Shepherd. Grab some free hot chocolate and cider! Also, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt will be present to promote their annual Holiday Project. The annual Holiday Project benefiting Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt is a sale of holiday cards, gift tags, gift wrap and holiday treats all designed by children who have been patients at Children’s Hospital and their siblings.
- Retropolitan will host Leigh Ann Agee and show off their “Cool Blue Holiday” theme.
- Pangaea will feature Claire Wallace, specializing in hand painted pottery. Check out the Puppy Kissing Booth outside, which benefits the Country K-9 animal rescue.
- Paper Latern will have indie acoustic folk music from Anna Gabrielle, Alex Red, & Daniel Van Dyke.
- Zeitgeist will have music by Hollow Ox and works by artist Ward Schumaker.
- A Thousand Faces will host several artists, including jewelry designers Sarah Knox of Modern Bronze, Elmer Woods of EW Designs, Linda Turner Of Turner Art and Simon & Lulu, and Brandy Davenport of My Moonlit Studio. Sydney Rees, their singer/songwriter on staff, will provide Christmas music. She will be accompanied by Mark Vikingstad and Brandon Chappell.
- Zumi Sushi will have Spiced Chai Hot Toddy with Maker’s Mark and All-Natural Honey single serving for $8 for 2 at $11.
- Sunset Grill is hosting an Artisan Market where local artists will be selling art and jewelry with proceeds benefiting Mercy’s Village.
- Cosmetic Market will have artist Zephyr Art, specializing in many media, including plush, watercolor illustration, jewelry and more.
- Hot & Cold will have jewelry artist Kelly Magnino. The first 100 kids who take their photos with Santa at Posh get free scoop coupons!
- Belcourt Taps and Tapas will have happy hour from 3-8pm. There will be kid friendly drinks too! Live Music starts at 11am with Sam Cooper’s open mic, followed by Justin Zimmer and Jamie Prosser at 6pm, and Mike Willis and the Cumberland Collective from 8 until midnight! Jump on the antique trolley that will be parked outside, or tag along on the pub crawl!
- Natural Selection has dressed their storefront with some “Holiday Spirit”! Slim Chance will provide music.
