It’s Bastille Day and Hillsboro Village Art Walk day!! Tonight, July 14th, everyone is invited to Hillsboro Village to participate in the Art Walk from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. The Hillsboro Village restaurants and shops participate by having special guest artists and promotional deals all night long – mostly French inspired in honor of Bastille Day!

Eat & Drink:

• Sunset Grill is offering a three course French dinner and French Wine Tastings in the bar area. Also, they will have entertainers outside on the patio street.
• Zumi Sushi will feature pieces from the students that participated in The Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts program.
• Belcourt Taps & Tapas will have a face painter, two artists (Godcha Kuttob and Aaron Raitiere) painting live, and will have their Songwriters pub crawl which departs at 6:45pm.
• Stop by Provence to get free samples of French macaroons, creme puffs, and tarts. Provence will feature photography artist Gregg Johnson and his exhibit, Earth & Sky, which includes photos taken at Red Rock Canyon (Nevada) and Bryce Canyon (Utah). Music by Alliance Francaise will be outside.
• Hot & Cold will have two artists from Monkey Ink Design, Drew Binkley and Alicia Waters.

Shopping:

• Get 20% off at The Cosmetic Market from 5:00pm – 8:00pm.
• A Village of Flowers will have food samples made by Youlanda Peña. Also, the shop will have artist Marabeth Quinn who will show her paintings and will feature readings from the Francophone World from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
• Social Graces will have Craftville in their space in which everyone will learn how to create a French Revolutionary Cap.
• Fire Finch will have local designer, Terilynn Bartlett, who will display her colorful, vintage-influenced swimsuit line. Pictures can be found at: www.hellatl.tumblr.com
• SEE will have fruit and wine along with having watercolor and ink artist Cory Basil.
• Pangaea will have jewelry artist Valerie Harrell.
• Clothing Xchange will have all French labeled clothing at 10% off from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. They will also have DJ Ugly Lovely, Artist Sheena Smith, and a MIME named London.
• Zeitgiest Gallery will present two artists, Jessica Wohl and Justin Plakas.
• A Thousand Faces will have a metal sculpture artist named Brad King.

So many options and just three hours! The Hillsboro Village Art Walk is a recurring event which usually takes place on the first Thursday of the month although July’s was moved to the second Thursday in order to celebrate Bastille Day. The next Hillsboro Village Art Walk will be on August 4th from 5:00pm – 8:00pm!
